Welcome!

As a daily patron of the company now trading as Southeastern Railway, living on the Bromley South line, I have had almost over two and a half years of continuous experience of this company's performance. There is fierce competition among Britain's rail operators to be crowned worst, but the purpose of this blog is to record incidents that can be solely (or largely) attributed directly to Southeastern's own poor performance (over and above general operational issues) that tend to support the hypothesis that Southeastern could indeed be the nation's worst rail operator.

Southeastern are rightly criticised for a litany of failings including insufficient rolling stock, existing rolling stock that is old / unreliable / uncomfortable, poor timetabling, a farcical inablity to run trains on time (often due to the aforementioned timetabling errors), and staff whose own actions tend to suggest a certain disdain for the passengers.

Since complaining, even to the highest possible level, is futile, this blog intends, in the fairest possible way, to record for posterity the impossibly hapless management of the Southeastern Railway company.

Recurring themes will likely be:

- the upcoming May 2018 timetable (I thought the shambolic behaviour of this company could not be any worse until I read the draft timetable);
- the tender process for the Southeastern franchise;
- the woefully operated Bromley South line (as this is the line I most use);
- train lengths in off peak times.

I may allow moderated comments to allow fellow Kent and East Sussex commuters to augment my library of Southeastern's failings.
